Locomotion is a series of falls and catches. In order to fall we must allow a disassembly; in order to catch a reassembly. We are many and one. Each joint is a mobility center that allows for a level of disassembly within our structure that is also a whole. We are disassembling and reassembling all the time. Sometimes our habits become the only option and can lead us in one direction only limiting our movement and direction. Over time we can forget what our options are. In this workshop we will practice choosing and changing our shapes. We will explore our ability to “fall and catch” both ourselves and one another. Together we will train our ability to choose when to let go and when to hold on in service of ease grace choice and play.Facilitated by Nuria Bowart
