Waistcoat Making with Mark Francis from season 6 of The Great British Sewing Bee A waistcoat is a garment that adds something extra to any outfit, so why not learn to make your own! Using my own waistcoat sewing pattern that contains four variations to choose from, you can make the waistcoat of your dreams. You will only need 1 metre of main fabric plus 1.5 metres of lining fabric and chosen buttons. I have interfacing that can be used and sewing machines on site to use but you are welcome to bring your own machine if you wish. In this workshop you will learn to add the optional shawl collars, welt/jetted or patch pockets, and the bagging out process to finish off the garment nicely. This workshop runs over two full days
And of course we provide tea, coffee and biscuits!
Two days - 10 am to 4pm with half an hour break for lunch
Materials - please bring 1 metre of main fabric, 1.5 metre of lining
Interfacing and sewing pattern provided
