Join us for a working bee at Waikākāriki as we mulch and maintain last year's plantings. This is a really important part of ensuring that the plants we so carefully planted over winter thrive.Waikākāriki is in the Horseshoe Lake area of the Ōtākaro Avon River Corridor and was a significant mahinga kai for mana whenua, as well as home for thousands of people before the 2011 earthquakes.
We'll supply all tools, you'll just need to bring along gardening gloves if you have them, a water bottle and your enthusiasm!
