Julia’s journey into the world of Agriculture, is far from the usual. Growing up in Wellington, far from Dairy Cows, completing a double degree in business and music at Victoria University her first job with Saatchi & Saatchi saw her sitting behind the scenes of iconic Kiwi advertising such as the infamous Toyota Hilux “Bugger” commercial. Julia’s advertising career took her to Europe, where she lived for 8 years, before craving a career with deeper purpose, making a bold move to retrain as a Vet.
While at Massey University, Julia discovered a passion for dairy cows, which has kept her in the beautiful Waikato since 2026. In 2023, she stepped industry-side as the National Sales and Marketing Manager for CRV, where she supported dairy farmers in achieving their goals with leading genetic solutions. Now, she’s launching her own venture, Cow Academy, to empower farmers and agri-professionals with veterinary expertise.
Like all vets, Julia has a menagerie of ‘free’ animals at home.
