• Meike Nauta is a Senior Data Scientist, AI Consultant and Business Development manager at Datacation. She got her PhD at the University of Twente in 2023 and the main research was about explainable AI and interpretable computer vision. In her current job her main tasks are designing and developing AI solutions for companies, giving talks about responsible AI and teaching explainable AI to students.

• Gönül Aycı, a Data Scientist and a dedicated runner. She got her PhD in Responsible AI, with a focus on developing trustworthy personal assistants capable of preserving users’ privacy.

• Selen Parlar Özçelik is an Analytics Engineer at Van Caem Klerks Group. Since obtaining her M.Sc degree in Machine Learning, she's leveraged her research and teaching experience to develop data-driven solutions to business problems.

Since WAI is a community-driven initiative, Meike Nauta and Mariana Goldak-Altgassen have taken the initiative to bring Women in AI to Eindhoven. Learn more about us:

Meike – Senior data scientist and AI consultant at Datacation, PhD in Explainable AI. “I started WAI Eindhoven to build an informal community for women to connect and share experiences, applications, knowledge and technical tips&tricks. AI is applicable in so many domains, from healthcare to mobility. I am thrilled to spread the excitement about AI, while also paying attention to its risks and technical challenges.”

Mariana - Technology Owner of AI within Innovation Strategy & Transformation department of Vanderlande. “For years I have been captivated by the transformative potential of AI and my mission is to spearhead its adoption within Vanderlande. I joined Women in AI because I get much energy from establishing & fostering communities.”
