The hike is doable for beginners and families with a relaxed pace and a fun rock climb section with the help of a rope going down. Hiking shoes are always recommended, but trainers are doable.
Start in the heart of the wadi through the banana and palm trees and water filled wadi. When we leave the first part of the wadi, we’ll walk for awhile through the old riverbed and then head up and around the plateau before climbing the mountains behind the wadi for a view of the Arabian sea. There is minimal ascent so it is enjoyable for all fitness levels and kids especially as there are lots of creatures to look for in the wadi! The trek can be shorter than 3 hours depending on the speed of the group.
