Join us for an inspiring afternoon at the Waco Silver Eagle Luncheon, an annual celebration supporting Longhorn Council, Scouting America. This special event brings together community leaders, dedicated volunteers, and supporters of Scouting to recognize outstanding achievements and invest in the next generation of leaders. Your participation helps empower youth in North and Central Texas by funding transformative experiences, leadership development programs, and outdoor adventures that instill values of character, citizenship, and service.
This year, we are honored to recognize Kyle Deaver with the Investment in Character Award for his leadership and dedication to the Waco community. Kyle served as Mayor of Waco from 2016 to 2020, following four years on the Waco City Council. An attorney and businessman, he is president of the Waco Business League, chair of the City of Waco Tax Increment Funding Boards, a Baylor University Regent, a board member of StartUp Waco, and serves on the vestry of Saint Paul’s Episcopal Church. His past leadership includes board service with the Waco Foundation, Cameron Park Zoological Society, Greater Waco Chamber of Commerce, Prosper Waco, Vanguard College Preparatory School, Saint Paul’s Episcopal Day School, and the Waco Plan Commission. A Baylor graduate with degrees in business and law, Kyle partners with his brother at Deaver and Deaver Law Firm and co-owns American Guaranty Title. He and his wife, Diane, have been married for over 37 years and have two children and five grandchildren, cherishing their Sunday night pizza gatherings with family.
