About this Event
The Waco Central (TX) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated is thrilled to celebrate its 50th Anniversary with an exciting lineup of events reflecting our service legacy and community impact. Since our founding in 1974, we have dedicated ourselves to uplifting and empowering the Central Texas community through various programs that promote education, health, the arts, and social awareness.
This milestone celebration will include a series of meaningful activities, such as a sock collection donation drive, community service projects, and the filming of a special documentary, all culminating in a grand 1950s-themed Gala in May 2025. The Gala will be a joyful afternoon of music, dancing, and celebration, honoring the incredible journey of our chapter and the vibrant community we serve.
The Waco Chapter of The Links, Incorporated, is part of a national organization founded in 1946 by Margaret Rosell Hawkins and Sarah Strickland Scott, with over 288 chapters and 15,000 members worldwide. As part of this influential network, our chapter has played a pivotal role in advancing the quality of life in Central Texas, touching countless lives through our signature programs, including the Fall into Reading Literacy Program, ACE Baylor Links Digital Media Program, Healthy Heart Program, and the Colgate Bright Smiles, Bright Futures Dental Program.
