Meet Walky: ❤
Walky Ardaat is a librarian, producer, teacher, and passionate Tribal Bellydance artist with over 18 years of experience. She is a member of Paulette Rees-Denis's Global Caravan Dance Company in Mexico and director of Caravan Project Mexico.
Since discovering American Tribal Style in 2007, Walky has become one of the leading figures of Tribal Bellydance in Mexico, founding Ghytias Tribal Bellydance in 2009 and Ghytiastudio in 2014 — now a national hub for Tribal Bellydance training and culture.
She has taught and performed at major festivals in the U.S. and internationally, including:

Since 2010, she has produced more than 84 specialized seminars with top international instructors, making her the most prolific Tribal Bellydance producer in Mexico.
Her “Be Tribal Bellydance” festival (founded in 2016) is the largest Tribal Bellydance event in Mexico, bringing together dancers from across Latin America and the world. The 10th edition will be celebrated in 2025.

In this workshop, you’ll learn how to expand your dance possibilities, creating fluid and organic transitions between your dominant and non-dominant sides. Discover fun and natural combos, practical tips, and a deeper understanding of the original FCBD® language.

💃 Powerful Faldeo / Skirt of Salamat Tribal! (2hr)
12:30pm - 2:30pm
Rooted in Salamat Tribal Pura by Terri Walden and inspired by ancient pagan symbolism, this workshop invites you to explore the skirt as a dynamic and expressive element in your dance.
Experience the joy of dancing in circle and in tribe, connecting feminine power and expansive movement through playful skirt work. You’ll also learn the beautiful off-beat play unique to tribal bellydance as you swirl, sweep, and flow with your skirt.
Come dance, celebrate, and play with Salamat Tribal Pura and faldeo — skirt work that’s powerful, fluid, and full of soul.
