WWW ~ Wood, Willow and Weave ~A number of different artists and artisans, from a number of traditions, will be gathering along Rock Mill Lane – the bit behind the bus station. They will be demonstrating a variety of heritage crafts. Many are ancient, many are endangered but all of them are being kept alive and, more importantly, made relevant for tomorrow’s world. They are not just a living museum but part of the fabric of communities through the country. Come and see the creative processes involved and talk to those whose skills you see. There may be the opportunity for you to try your hand at some of them and purchase items already created. Our friends at the Rock Mill Centre will be on hand, providing refreshments to enhance your visit.
Admission by minimum donation of 50p for individuals and £1 for a “family group.” Payable at the entrances or on site.
