What is the relationship between Te Ao Māori and Yoga? Our Wānanga Series returns with "Mātauranga Māori meets Yoga," four weeks of collective discussion and exploration of the similarities, synergies and connections between traditional Māori wisdoms and yoga teachings.
Each week covers a different concept each week: Aroha, Wahangū, Nohopuku, and Māramatanga. Drop in for one or all four. No prior knowledge or understanding required!
Our discussion approach is based on a sharing circle - our facilitators will offer some initial thoughts and reflections before inviting conversation and sharing (although please note: there is no compulsion to share!).
We invite you on a journey to reflect and deepen your yoga practice - a chance to explore 'being in the middle' as a pathway to consider the reconciliation of our 'at once earthy and divine existence.' (BKS Iyengar). We chart this course using some of the unique storylines of our land - Aotearoa.
INVESTMENT: $25 each / $89 all 4
FACILITATORS: Murray Hemi & Tom Brotherstone
