VUU Marching Band Presents High School Drum & Dance Battle (Registration)

Event Details:

• Date: Sunday, April 13, 2025
• Time: Doors open at 1:00 PM, competition kicks off at 2:00 PM
• Location: Barco-Stevens Hall, Virginia Union University
• Tickets: $10 (ages 8 and up)—No tickets sold at the door
• Registration Fee: $100
• Registration Deadline: March 23, 2025

Mark your calendars because this is a can’t-miss event! The battle will be fierce, and the stakes are high. The top 3 schools will be awarded amazing prizes, including a $1,000 cash prize for 1st place and stunning trophies for 2nd and 3rd place winners!

Competition Details:

• Drumlines- You will have 7 minutes to shine, the timer starts when the first note is played. A 5-point deduction for every 15 seconds over the time limit.
• Dancers: Dance routines must be between 2 minutes and 2 minutes and 15 seconds. The timer starts when dancers begin their performance. A 5-point deduction for anything over the time limit.

Groups will be scored on routine precision, formations, technique, uniqueness, and overall team appearance.

Arrival Time: Please ensure your group arrives by 12:30 PM, but no later than 1:00 PM.
