Kicking off this May, the Gawk 10-Year Anniversary Tour will see the band perform the album in its entirety, alongside fan favorites and new material. Praised by Pitchfork as “a charming, chaotic pile-up of surf-, math-, and art-rock,” Gawk showcased the band’s playful yet existential songwriting across ten tracks, including fan favorites “Chop,” “Oulala,” and the now-iconic “Alien Blues.”
Nearly a decade after its release, Gawk found an unexpected second life when “Alien Blues” went viral on TikTok, soundtracking millions of videos and amassing hundreds of millions of streams worldwide. What began as a cult favorite in Boston DIY circles evolved into a global anthem for a new generation—proof that Vundabar’s oddball, hook-driven songwriting is as timeless as it is distinctive."
