About this Event
Inspired by NASA's Voyager missions of the 1970s, Voyager 3: Artifacts of Humanity invites you to explore a collection of contemporary artifacts through the eyes of visionary artists. This group exhibition, curated by Mark Anthony Martinez and Maverick Pascal, imagines what it means to be human in the 21st century. The show offers a parallel to the golden records sent aboard the Voyager probes, which carried sounds and images representing life on Earth.
Voyager 3 pushes this concept further, asking the question: What would artists select as humanity's defining cultural and visual contributions? If a modern probe were launched today, these artistic expressions could potentially drift through space for billions of years, offering both extraterrestrial civilizations and future humans a chance to understand our species in its current form.
Through a diverse selection of artworks, you are invited to contemplate the meaning of humanity, our place in the universe, and the legacy we leave behind.
