The College of Lake County is proposing to hire a new Diversity Equity & Inclusion Administrator on a Six-Figure Salary at the next Board Meeting of June 22, 2021.
What is Critical Race Theory?
Critical race theory is an academic discipline, built on the intellectual framework of identity-based Marxism. Instead of class conflict, we have identity-based conflict, where anyone who self-identifies as a member of a “marginalized” group, is oppressed by everyone else, fostering an entire generation of victims. It has been injected into government agencies, schools, corporate and academic training programs, in the form of diversity training programs and school criteria. CRT practitioners employ non-threatening social justice rhetoric, e.g., “equity”, “diversity”, and “inclusion” in order to introduce and push their agenda. These words, taken out of context individually, are not objectionable. In unison, however, they actually stand for something else entirety: a violation and rejection of individual identity, equality under the law, free speech, and the dismantling of the foundations of our free society. Please see here for a more in-depth discussion defining CRT ideology.
Please take action today to stop the continued indoctrination of our school system.
• The school has adopted one of its foundational pillars for its strategic plan for college direction in the future as “Equity & Inclusion” (http://dept.clcillinois.edu/res/CLCWebsite/Reports/Strategic_Plan.pdf )
• The “Equity & Inclusion” pillar seeks to “create a barrier-free environment by removing instances of power, privilege and inequity in policies, procedures, and processes.”
• On May 18, 2021, the school has approved a paid sabbatical request for a professor to create a course to encourage students to be “anti-racist, inclusive, and equitable communicators” through the examination of “race, class, gender identity, gender expression, sexual orientation in order to turn students into “agents of change” activists who can “use their own privilege to empower those who have been marginalized and disenfranchised.” See here (http://dept.clcillinois.edu/pre/board/20210518_Board_Report.pdf ) at page 80.
• The school has proposed to hire a “Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Administrator” who will be responsible for ensuring that CLC is more “diverse, equitable, and inclusive”. See here (http://dept.clcillinois.edu/bsf/financial/FY2022_TentativeBudget.pdf) at page 60.
• The Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Administrator will be paid a six-figure salary.
TAKE ACTION NOW!
1. Be a part of history: sign The Great Land of Lincoln Declaration (below) and share it with as many of your friends, family and colleagues as you can on email, text message, and social media.
2. Write, Call and Speak to the CLC School Board (https://www.clcillinois.edu/aboutclc/board-of-trustees), and Demand that your school board pass a resolution stating that they will not continue supporting or implementing Critical Race Theory, and specifically that they do not approve the hiring of the DEI Administrator. Tell them that their failure to pass a resolution opposing the implementation of CRT can only mean they agree with censorship, race-based thinking, and a rejection of equality under the law.
3. Attend the June 22nd Board Meeting. The meeting will be conducted via ZOOM. You may submit a request for ZOOM login credentials by emailing [email protected] before 2:00 p.m. on June 22nd. If you do not wish to publicly speak, you can submit comments to [email protected] before 2:00 p.m.
4. On June 22, 2021 at 4:30 p.m. physically appear at the College of Lake County at 19351 West Washington Street, Grayslake, Il 60030, Building A, to protest the implementation of CRT.
5. Share this information with your friends, neighbors, and family members in Lake County, Illinois. According to a recent poll (https://docs.cdn.yougov.com/1oyiu6tamw/econTabReport.pdf), 53% of Americans view CRT very unfavorably, whereas only 25% view it as favorably. 55% of Americans believe CRT is bad for America.
