Norwegian alt. electro-pop trio Von August invites you into a sonic universe where warmth meets cold, and softness intertwines with industrial grit—defined by a distinct Nordic edge.
Their sound is built on lush, interwoven harmonies, modular synths, and drum machines that move from throbbing pulses to upbeat rhythms. The soundscapes are deep, dreamlike, and adventurous, immersing you in a world where blunt reality and playful fantasy seamlessly merge.
Since their debut in 2018, they've released several singles and the album 'Blåøyd' (2021)—later reissued as a remixed version in collaboration with Norwegian electronic artists Niilas, Fochs Koshka, and Maud (2022).
Over the past three years, they've been refining their sound and shaping their second album, 'Samme hvor du går', set for release on May 2nd through Dugnad Rec. In the upcoming record, they seek to capture the essence of human relationships, platonic love, and the presence—or absence—of a sense of community; both through lyrics and sound.
