About this Event
Join us for an exciting in-person event at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation in Eau Claire, WI, USA! Presented by Volur Amanda Lonsdorf and Bethany Jacobson members of the Volva Stav Guild. Deepen your understanding and relationships with the Norse Goddesses in this Class series (301).
This class is designed only for our ADVANCED students who have taken multiple classes or personal sessions with us. Please email [email protected] if you have any questions about attending this class.
We will be learning about Frigga and her Handmaidens and other Norse Goddesses in this series. Designed to enhance awareness and develop deeper journeying and understanding your personal gnosis. We will be using Volva Stav practices and tools and additional resources. We are co-creating a safe vessel for the exploration of these embodied practices in community and supporting growth within the class members. Bring a meaningful item for the altar as we join together to create sacred space.
Volva Stav is a Norse traditional healing modality and training program that reconstructs an ancient way of being “Nordic” through body movement, rhythm and sound based on runes (ancient Norse alphabet/hieroglyphs), Norse myth and metaphysics, language, song and dance. Volva Stav techniques create body/mind/spirit alignment with the world tree, balanced brain hemispheres and a heightened state of awareness. Our work is based on the Volva Stav Manual by Kari Tauring and our work with the Volva Stav Guild.
We explore personal oorlog (the summation of an individual human inheritance on physical, spiritual and cultural levels) and work to uncover and heal the layers of both gifts and challenges from our ancestors, culture, and environment.
You do not have to be “Nordic” by culture, family ancestry, or “blood”. We in Wisconsin live in a “Nordic” climate and can find benefits and connection to ourselves, our families, communities, and the natural world around us through this way of being in the world.
