Join us on Saturday, October 11, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Sidecar Home Market (100 S Woodland Blvd, DeLand) for a free community book giveaway! This event was created in response to book bans across Florida and the U.S., bringing together local organizations, nonprofits, and businesses to make sure everyone has access to inclusive and diverse stories.

Live banned book readings throughout the day
The launch of Volusia Pride’s youth zine, Brick and Soup Can — celebrating the voices of LGBTQ+ youth and allies in our community

✅ How you can help:
Donate banned or challenged books by Friday, October 3.
Drop-off locations: Sidecar Home Market, The West Volusia Beacon, Cliff’s Books, The Family Book Store, and The Muse Bookshop (all in DeLand).
You can also purchase titles from these local shops or directly from our Amazon Wish List and bring them to a drop-off site.
