Volunteering @ Crackshall

Join us at Crackshall Meadow to help us continue with the hedge laying this season. Try your hand at pleaching and binding, help us process all the brash and have a great day out with friends!

Terrain: Sloping field, muddy underfoot.

What you need to know

• All activities are subject to change at short notice due to inclement weather or other circumstances, including C-19
• Our minibus can take you to the site, picking up at 9.45am from Coalbrookdale Community Centre on Darby Road. Or meeting on site. (Volunteers are informed each week if we will be using the minibus)
• If you will be travelling in the minibus, please inform us in advance to ensure there are enough seats.
• Bring sturdy footwear (preferably steel toe-capped boots for practical activities), outdoor clothing, waterproofs, refreshments and packed lunch.
• We provide tea/coffee and biscuits in the morning break.
• We will provide tools, training, gloves, hard hats, goggles, hand sanitizer.
• Please use only the trust’s tools for insurance purposes.
• 16/17-year-olds will be asked to provide parental permission before taking part.
• Please check your Tetanus injections are up-to-date.
• Covid-19 - SGCT Volunteer Policy: If you have Covid-19 we ask that you do not participate in volunteer activities.
