About this Event
Join Farmer Ben as we host a volunteer workday event in the silvopasture at Wild Harmony Farm on Thursday, January 16th from noon until 2 PM for an educational workday. Learn about the benefits of agroforestry and how the silvopasture is an important part of the nature-based food production system at the farm. This is a great opportunity for home school students as well as students of agriculture. During this workday event, Farmer Ben will share information about the benefits and management of the silvopasture and how it improves animal welfare, enhances the ecosystem, and creates a more attractive landscape by reducing the amount of undergrowth. Please dress for the cold weather, bring work gloves and comfortable boots to walk in the pasture.
