Become a Titaneer! Recruitment Walk at the Grove of Titans

EVENT DESCRIPTION:
Redwood National and State Parks (RNSP) and the Redwood Parks Conservancy invite you to experience the magic of the Grove of Titans and discover a volunteer opportunity unlike any other.
Join us for a free introductory walk through one of the most breathtaking places on Earth, where you’ll meet current Titaneers, explore the trail, and learn what it means to be part of this all-ages volunteer program dedicated to protecting and preserving these ancient coastal redwoods.
Who are the Titaneers?
The Titaneers are a passionate group of volunteer interpreters and monitors who serve as the friendly faces of the Grove of Titans and Stout Grove in Jedediah Smith State Park. From answering visitor questions about the redwoods, Mill Creek, and the surrounding ecosystem, to helping protect the delicate understory of this irreplaceable grove — Titaneers play a vital role in keeping this place magical for generations to come.
What do I need to become a Titaneer?
Just a passion for the redwoods and some free time!All ages are welcome, and hiking ability is not required — volunteers at the trailhead make a huge difference during peak visitation season.
What to expect at the walk:
Come as you are and spend a beautiful afternoon in the forest with us! This is a casual, no-pressure introduction to the program. You’ll get a feel for the trail, meet the team, ask all your questions, and find out if the Titaneer family is the right fit for you.
Can’t make this date? Don’t worry — we’ll also be hosting a recruitment walk at Stout Grove on Friday, March 28th, 1:00–4:00 PM. We’d love to see you there!
