Join us for a session of harvesting some of our beautiful willow. We have a selection of different types and colours of willow, which we harvest yearly as ‘whips’ to then be used in sculpture and basketry. Have a look at the photos of different craft items that have been made over the years.
Our plan for this session is to harvest some of the willow and have a recap on creating bases for sculpting animals for the community woodland. A couple of years ago, following on from a course with sculptor Caroline Gregson, we made a couple of sheep and a fantasy bird - they have been grazing in the orchards since.
