Help restore habitat along East Canyon Creek on the Swaner Preserve by planting native trees and shrubs! When fully grown, trees such as willows an cottonwoods provide habitat and food for many species of wildlife, shade streams which improves water quality, and prevent streambank erosion.Meeting location will be on the corner of Bufflehead Drive and Pheasant Way: maps.app.goo.gl/A5Cp3jnbetBj6wvY6. Restrooms are not available on site. Volunteers should bring a snack, water bottle, an dress for the weather. Tools and shovels will be provided. Volunteers should be prepared to work in a variety of weather conditions. The event will be cancelled in case of nearby lightning or severe weather. Keep in mind that the project may wrap up early if trees are planted quickly!
