Council is hosting a free volunteer training workshop focusing on Strategic Planning. This workshop aims to provide valuable assistance and guidance for community groups and volunteers.
Participants will gain confidence, knowledge, and practical skills to better understand the planning process and the importance of preparation in guiding their organisations in a clear and defined direction.
In this Strategic Planning workshop, participants will learn more about:
• Understanding the need for a strategic plan
• Knowing when it’s time to ‘re-vision’
• Appreciating the purpose for members/clients
• Understanding stakeholder mapping
• Finding evidence to support direction
• Relating strategy to delivery (no more plans left on the shelf!)
• Preparing the framework for the strategic plan
• Costing the plan
