Needed: men and women that have some time available during six weeks in April and May and/or 4 weeks in September to volunteer for our museum school program. You will be trained and guided through every step of the program.
The Dewey School Program is run by one or two School Marms or masters a day. The Waterloo Farm Program is run by three people a day. Shepherd, to get the children to the proper building at the proper time and assist “Mr. and Mrs. Realy”. “Mr. Realy” gives his presentation in the big barn. He presents stories of farming and crops of the 1860s and farm chores the young people were doing at that time. “Mrs. Realy” gives her presentation in the Log House, where she provides the opportunity for the children to learn about cooking over a fire, hauling water for laundry and general upkeep of the family.
