About this Event
Experience volunteering with Cornwall Wildlife Trust on Thursday 27th February, 2025 from 10:00AM - 3:30PM. We will meet at Gunwen Chapel at 10:00AM before walking onto the reserve. Meet like-minded individuals, practice your conservation skills and explore nature reserves. This taster day is suitable for over 18s.
No experience or tools are necessary as Cornwall Wildlife Trust staff will be on hand to guide and support the cutting and burning activity. We will cook on the fire providing a tasty lunch (more information below) before returning to the activity.

Important Information - Please Read
Please bring waterproofs, warm layers and wellies as it can be wet and muddy. We will be working outside on the reserve all day. The terrain is very muddy and uneven. There will be no access to facilities so please come prepared with drinking water and food. As we are cutting and burning, we will cook baked potatoes on the fire and provide cheese. You are welcome to bring any additional toppings you may want. The amount of wood can vary so please bring a lunch in case the fire doesn't get big enough in time.
