FINALLY our September meeting is set, who else is excited???
We will be meeting on Saturday, Sept. 13, from 9am - 4pm, at First Presbyterian Church, 130 W. Central Street, Chippewa Falls. This church is right next to the grocery store Family Fare in downtown Chippewa (look for my car!) This is our FIRST time meeting in this church, so sending a huge thank you to First Presbyterian for opening their church to us, & to Joyce G for being our hostess for this gathering!
As usual we will meet from 9am-4pm. & you can access the church from the shared grocery store parking lot. You will see a walk up ramp to enter the building. All are welcome to come for the entire day or whatever part your schedule allows.
We will be working on everything associated with creating all our angel outfits from de-constructing, to laying out patterns & pinning, to cutting, to sewing, ironing, removing beading, hand sewing appliques, the list is long & vast. And all abilities are needed, whether you know how to sew or not!
If you do know how to sew, bring your sewing machine, power cords, sewing pins, & white thread if you have it, otherwise we have extra. Everything else will be provided including an instruction book & lots of moral support & encouragement! If you don't know how to sew, that's great too! Just bring eager hands & a compassionate heart & you will fit right in! If you've ever thought about joining us, but haven't yet, we'd love to meet you & share what we do with you!
Lunch is potluck & all the volunteers are strongly encouraged to join us for lunch! We always have a big variety of foods to choose from to accommodate everyone's preferences, so feel free to bring any dish to pass you'd like. And if time or finances don't allow you to bring anything, no worries, as we have tons of food to share & would love to dine with you all! PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN BEVERAGES FOR THE DAY!
VERY IMPORTANT: As usual, if you plan on joining us, please make sure to click on the "going" option on this Facebook event (or send me a private message) so I know how many volunteers to plan for. I need to make sure I bring enough work to keep everyone busy while they're there!
ALSO I WILL BE BRINGING YOUR NEW T-SHIRTS, if you placed an order! And if room allows in my car, I'll be bringing Eternal Angels water bottles & car decals for anyone interested in having either or both of these things.
