WHY: Join The Independence Fund in honoring the Veterans of 1st Battalion, 17th Infantry Regiment before the opening night of Operation Resilience. Operation Resilience reunites post-9/11 military units that have shared traumatic experiences during deployment, acknowledging the profound impact of these events and the ensuing risk of Veteran suicide upon their return home.
To volunteer, please sign up through this event link. During the Heroes Walk, volunteers will be responsible for holding flags, cheering and welcoming Veterans as they walk into the evening's event. This is an important moment for the Veterans attending and a perfect way for the community to show their appreciation.
