VOLUNTEER RECRUITMENT for the Longview Animal Care and Adoption Center:
Are you looking to get involved in something and LOVE animals? Come join us for our JANUARY 2026 Volunteer Orientation on Saturday, JANUARY 3rd, at 10am at the shelter.
We're in need of dog walkers, cat cuddlers, laundry and dishwashing extraordinaires, and adoption greeters. Or if you're interested in outside ways to help support, like partnering up with our supporting non-profit, Longview PAWS, for transportation, fostering, and outreach assistance. Sunday through Saturday, morning and afternoon shifts are available.

IMPORTANT NOTES: If you are interested in volunteering at the shelter, you must fit the following criteria:
- Be at least 16 years old or older to volunteer alone, or a minimum of 13 years old supervised by a parent or guardian.
- Have a working email account.
- Be comfortable with most animals of all sizes.
- A mature, upbeat, respectful attitude is required at all times, as you are an extension of our LACAC team.
- Be willing to understand and support our mission at LACAC.
