The Putnam County Thrift Store needs your help to prepare metal for recycling and to bale clothes for shipment to needy countries. We have tasks for all age groups. This volunteer opportunity is at our warehouse located on the Putnam County Fairgrounds. Enter through gate #5 and proceed south. As you pass the first warehouse, you will see an alley on your right. Turn right and proceed down the alley you see two large roll-off containers on your left. Our garage door is between the roll-off containers. We do not have heat so please dress accordingly.We are open the first Saturday of every month from 8:30 to 11:30 AM. We would appreciate you asking others to join you. It is an good way for students to get volunteer hours. You can do not have to volunteer for the full 3 hours. We appreciate any time you can give to the Thrift Store. Dress appropriately for the weather. You will be working indoors but there is no heat.
