About this Event
Join us for a rewarding morning outdoors helping care for our young Micro-Forest! Whether you can spare 30 minutes or a few hours, your time will make a real difference.
Planted in February, the tree saplings are growing well—but they need your help! We’ll be weeding and mulching to prepare the site for autumn. The weeds are thriving, but with many hands, we can tackle them together. Mulching with woodchip will also help protect the trees and improve the soil.
What to bring:
- Wear gardening clothes and sturdy shoes/trainers you don’t mind getting muddy.
- Be prepared for all weather.
- Bring your own gardening gloves if you prefer—otherwise, we’ll provide everything you need, including tools and guidance.
It’s a great way to get active, meet others, and support your local environment.
About the Micro Forest: Roughly the size of a tennis court, the site was specially prepared before planting around 500 tree saplings. A fence keeps the area protected from dogs, helping the forest thrive.
Please indicate your intened time of arrival. Please note, you are not required to stay for the entire duration of the event and drop in visits are also welcomed!
