This month's Volunteer Meeting will be held on Tuesday, 10/15/24 beginning at 11 AM in the Education Building.This meeting will also be open for new volunteer applicants: Do you have a passion for history that you would like to share with young and old alike? Are you looking for an opportunity to socialize with others and contribute to a worthy cause? Does the opportunity to learn new things and instill a love of history and culture in others excite you? If you answered yes to any of these questions, then the Ponce Inlet Lighthouse and Museum is the place for you! We're looking for new volunteers to help the museum meet it's growing educational programming needs. Current lighthouse volunteer opportunities include:
Museum Tour Guide
Tower Monitor
Living History Interpreter
Costuming Assistant
Seamstress/Tailor
Workshop Facilitator
Events Assistant/Coordinator
Educational Outreach Facilitator
Previous docent or teaching experience is not required and complete training is provided to all volunteers. In appreciation for their valuable contribution to the museum, volunteers are provided with a free annual membership, scheduled luncheons, off-site field trips, and an annual volunteer award dinner.
