Kanyana's volunteers work across many areas, including
• in the wildlife hospital
• with our resident animals
• educating the community
• transporting animals to and from vets
• maintaining our garden, grounds and heritage buildings
• assisting with training and events
• helping with cleaning, kitchen, laundry
• helping the fundraising, marketing and admin teams
Volunteering is particularly suited to veterinary, vet nurse or environmental science students, but many other people from other walks of life will find something to learn and contribute.
If you share our ethics and values, have a genuine care for and interest in our precious native animals, enjoy learning as part of a team and are happy to take on the responsibilities involved, you should be able to find a role and a shift that suits you!
Full training and mentoring is provided.
(Volunteers need to be 16 years or over and attendees must show proof of COVID-19 vaccination on arrival).
