To recognise and celebrate the contributions of all volunteers the Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF) has launched Volunteer Festival (VFest) — a month-long festival happening from 7 to 28 July 2024.

Taking place across all four July weekends the festival spotlights various volunteering needs to attract and recruit volunteers to give their time talent and treasures to communities in need. Done in collaboration with close to 70 partners the VFest will rove to four different heartland locations and cater to different interests and lifestyles to bring volunteering opportunities closer to Singaporeans’ homes. The roving festival will comprise three main event zones that seek to:

- Celebrate and spotlight volunteers and their contributions through performances fireside chats and personal sharing.

- Inspire and educate Singaporeans on the ‘what how and why’ of volunteering through experiential stations to help participants understand the challenges faced by the different groups of individuals in need.

- Facilitate networking and connections among potential volunteers social service agencies (SSAs) and partners through a marketplace — comprising booths by agencies with respective estates which the public can visit to discover volunteering opportunities closer to home.

Each weekend will focus on a key theme specific to resident demographics and volunteering needs of varying Singapore regions. Kindly find more information below and visit celebratingvolunteers.sg to learn more!
