If you want to get involved in your downtown community, but aren't quite sure where to start, then our Volunteer Expo is for you! Come join a group of like-minded people and learn how to use your skills to make Joplin a better place to be. This expo will be a low-stakes opportunity for you to discover some of the programs that Downtown Joplin Alliance offers and how you can make them them better.The Format:
**Introduction to Downtown Joplin Alliance (our Mission, our Strategies, our Board, etc...)
**Introduction to the Main Street Method and the 4 Points (Economic Vitality, Design, Promotions, Organization)
***Explore all the programming options that Downtown Joplin offers: Clean Team; Empire Market; Downtown Now; Third Thursday; Market Gardens; Endangered Properties Program; WineShare; Downtown Holiday Experience; Night Markets; and more!
If you are a current volunteer, we want to challenge you to bring a friend to the expo to show them all the ways they can be involved!
