At Hope CDA, we’re committed to walking alongside the men in our program as they do the hard work of rebuilding their lives. One of the ways we support them is by connecting them with local medical, dental, counseling, educational, and recovery resources.
As our community resource utilization grows, so does the need for reliable transportation to and from appointments. For many of our participants, the circumstances that led them to Hope CDA have left them without driving privileges or access to a vehicle — making transportation one of our biggest challenges right now.
This is where you can make a life-changing difference. We’re forming a volunteer transportation team — Driven by Hope — to help men get where they need to go as they pursue health, stability, and restoration.
Most appointments are within the Cedar Rapids metro area, and the greatest need is on weekday mornings and afternoons (typically 8:00 am to 4:00 pm). Even a small time commitment can have a big impact. As the saying goes, many hands make light work! Whether you can serve a few hours a week or once in a while, you can play a vital role in helping men move forward.

First Meeting: Thursday, October 9, 2025 at 6:30 at the Hope Center
Second Meeting: Tuesday, October 14, 2025 at Noon at the Hope Center
