Come join your fellow Longhorns for a day of community service at the London Marathon on Sunday Oct. 2, 2022! We are arranging a group to be course marshals on the day, in the Canary Wharf area of the run. All volunteers will receive a volunteer t-shirt and jacket from London Marathon, and I believe a packed lunch will be provided on the day of. We need a minimum of 10 volunteers, so please encourage your friends to sign up too! There are extra perks the more people we get to sign up too!
The marathon is one of the city’s largest events and it’s always fun and has a high energy vibe, plus it’s a great way to see the elite runners up close as they speed past you! In the men's elite field, you'll get a chance to see Bekele, the second fastest men's marathon runner! And in the women's elite field you'll get to see Kosgei who's the current fastest woman! Along with Charlotte Purdue who's my personal favorite and an up and comer in the marathon event!
