While U-M football has a bye week, you can join fellow alumni and the Friends of Detroit Animal Care and Control in giving back by providing comfort, care, and enrichment for Detroit’s shelter dogs and cats. You’ll have the chance to:• Play with and walk shelter dogs
• Spend time with cats in the cat room
• Help with enrichment toys and shelter support projects
• Take a guided tour and learn more about the mission
Why it matters: By helping the animals feel calmer and happier, you'll increase their chance of adoption.
What to wear/bring: Wear comfortable clothes you don’t mind getting dirty; full-length pants and closed-toe shoes (required); water bottle.
