About this Event
Reworld Waste is a sustainable waste management company based in Montgomery County. We convert trash into renewable energy through waste incineration. As part of our corporate commitment, we’re excited to give back—both our time and financial support—to the The REACH Hub at A. Mario Loiderman Middle School, which will serve as a learning space and a source of nutritious food for the community.
On November 4th, from 10 a.m.–1 p.m., we are seeking volunteers to support the school farm at Loiderman Middle School. Volunteers will help with mulching garden beds, building a tool rack, and installing shelves inside shipping containers. This project is part of an innovative mission to transform schoolyards and community spaces into hubs that foster climate resilience and land stewardship for students in our community.
About: The REACH Hub and Farm at A. Mario Loiederman Middle School is a pilot climate resilience initiative by MCPS and the Charles Koiner Conservancy for Urban Farming. It provides hands-on environmental education in an Equity Focus Area of Montgomery County, supporting communities most vulnerable to climate and economic challenges. By joining us, you’ll be supporting a cause that enhances students’ learning experiences in Montgomery County while helping provide access to healthy, sustainable food.
SSL Hours can be provided.
