About this Event
Volunteer attorneys are needed to provide 15- to 30-minute consultations in person to unrepresented litigants who are veterans or active members of the military in need of advice regarding veterans benefits, family law, bankruptcy, landlord/tenant issues, probate and estate planning, criminal record sealing, small claims, immigration, consumer law, guardianship, or other topics.
If it has been a while since you last volunteered or if you are new to the Ask-A-Lawyer program, feel free to reach out to Legal Aid Center of Southern Nevada's Pro Bono Project for on-demand CLEs, manuals for various areas of law, and more (email [email protected]).
Finally, if your schedule changes and you are unable to volunteer during your scheduled shift, please let us know immediately by calling Carmen Ramirez at 702-386-1551 so that we can try to find a replacement volunteer. Thank you for your commitment to providing access to justice. We look forward to hearing from you!
In addition to this in-person event at the VA Southern Nevada Healthcare System, we also regularly need attorneys to help pro se litigants over the phone during our Ask-A-Lawyers for small claims, family law, landlord/tenant issues, probate and estates, and debt collection.
Note: This page is intended only for attorneys who can provide legal advice. If you are interested in speaking with an attorney during the Veterans & Military Members Ask-A-Lawyer event, register at .
