About this Event
Civic Works' Real Food Farm is in need of food packing volunteers for the Affordable Produce Delivery Program (APDP). APDP provides fresh local produce delivered weekly to the homes of older adults (55+) of Baltimore City at a reduced cost.
We need volunteers who are:
- available Wednesday mornings between 9:00-12:00 (or until work is done)
- able to travel to 1749 Gorsuch Ave. Baltimore, MD 21218
Packers need to:
- Pack produce boxes in a quality conscious method
- Lift up to 40 lbs. (with assistance)
- Stay on their feet during their whole event
- Be willing to follow Civic Works' Food Safety Guidelines
If you represent an organization or company that would like to volunteer as a group, please contact our volunteer coordinator Harper Czumak-Daugherty at [email protected] so we are better able to accommodate your group.
Volunteer days are rain or shine. Please only sign up for what you can 100% commit to and let us know ASAP if you do not plan to attend so we can open your space to someone on the waitlist.
Please plan to arrive on time! We encourage volunteers to stay for the whole morning (9:00-12:00 pm), however we understand that some may need to leave early. Please let us know when you arrive.
Volunteers will be required to sign a waiver upon arrival.
We gladly accept one-time volunteers for this event, but those who can commit long term to weekly or bi-weekly packing are preferred!
