Dit dreigt de gemeenschap te ontwrichten. De wijk gaat in verzet. De bewoners willen een renovatie, blok per blok.
Enkele activisteren kraken een huis in de wijk en helpen de bewoners in hun verzet.
Eén van de activisten en documentairemaker van Het Verzet van Bernadette komt langs om meer uitleg te geven over deze strijd tegen de plannen van de sociale huisvestingsmaatschappij WoninGent.
Uiteraard starten we de avond met een volkskeuken.

The Bernadette neighborhood in Ghent is a social neighborhood that has to have a total renovation. The city wants to renovate all the house in one go. All the residents need to be relocated for this. This threatens to destroy the community. The neighborhood resists. The inhabitants want a renovation, block by bloc.
Activists squat a house in Bernadette and help the inhabitants resisting.
One of the activists and documentary maker of Het Verzet van Bernadette joins us to explain about this struggle against the plans of the social housing society WoninGent.
We start the evening with a peoples kitchen.
