Join us for VOKRA Walk for the Kitties 2022 - Presented by FirstMate
VOKRA Walk for the Kitties is our largest fundraising event of the year. This 5k fun walk takes place at Jericho Beach and all funds raised go directly towards supporting our rescue efforts.
As a volunteer-driven non-profit, we rely on Walk for the Kitties to raise much needed funds to help us rescue more than 1,400 cats and kittens each year. Our fundraising goal this year is $50,000 and we need your help.
On May 15, registration will open at 10 a.m. with the actual walk beginning at 11 a.m.

Here's how your contributions will help:
$25 buys a flat of food
$50 provides one cat with care for a month
$85 covers the cost of one spay/neuter
$100 buys 20 nursing kits used to feed orphaned kittens

I've never fundraised before, any tips?
Once you remember you're asking for money for the kitties and not yourself, fundraising is easy! You’re giving your friends, family and co-workers a chance to have massive impact on the lives of cats and kittens from around the Lower Mainland. To help you fundraise, we’ve created an email script, sample social media posts and graphics to assist you in soliciting donations. Click here to view the fundraising kit.
TOP TIP: Don’t be afraid to send more than one email. Many of your friends and family will want to donate, but often people forget. You’ll be surprised at how effective just one reminder email can be!
Can I bring my dog/cat/friend?
Dogs are more than welcome and it's free for them to attend.
While we love our cats, we think it's best if they stay at home.
Please encourage all your friends to register and join you on the walk!
What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?
Pay parking is available in several lots in the Jericho Beach area.
Bus service is available. Visit translink.ca to plan your trip.
