Voici le soir | Music from the Realm of NightSeton Conservatory Choir, under the direction of Garth MacPhee, invites you on a journey to explore the mysteries of night! Travel with us to Vaughan Williams’ “In Windsor Forest” where you will experience a faerie kingdom, moonlight revelry and romance. The voyage continues with Lauridsen’s “Nocturnes”, offering a moonlit vision of passion and eternal love. The final stop takes us to a trio of works arranged by Bob Chilcott, harmoniously united through exquisite poetry and music across the divides of Time; “Polovtsian Dance No. 1" from Prince Igor, “Con amores, la mi madre”, and finally “Pachelbel’s Canon in D”.
The choir is accompanied by the talented collaborative pianist, Dean Bradshaw. Stephen Fewer, accomplished guitarist, is featured as our guest soloist and will perform “Variations on a Theme by Mozart Op. 9. By Fernando Sor. He will also provide additional accompaniment.
