Laura Smith discovered her love of harmony from the backseat of her family’s “car quartet,” and that early joy in ensemble singing has stayed with her ever since. She holds a degree in music from LaGrange College and brings a rich background in a cappella, choral singing, and children’s choir direction. A lifelong believer in the magic of communal singing, Laura continues to explore her own journey of “finding her voice.” In addition to her musical path, Laura spent over 20 years as a physical therapist, cultivating a deep respect for the body’s innate healing wisdom. Her personal yoga practice and spiritual journey have gradually shaped her approach toward a holistic, inside-out understanding of health.
Our Philosophy:
Luna and Laura believe our bodies carry deep wisdom for both individual and collective healing—and that reclaiming our individual voices is a powerful way to remember who we are. Choral singing is more than a musical act; it is a living metaphor for healing. It invites us to honor our individuality while remembering our deep interconnectedness. It calls us into deep listening and receptivity, while also encouraging authentic expression. In this light, harmony isn’t about blending into sameness—it’s about each person walking their own path while learning how to resonate with others. In finding one’s own voice and raising it with others, we don’t just sing together—we grow together, we find joy together, and we heal together.
