Voices of the Future: Youth Board in Your Library
Come join us at the Franklin Library for an exciting event where young voices will be heard! The Youth Advisory Board (YAB), is a youth-led group that works directly with Hennepin County’s Juvenile Justice System. We are currently seeking to fill our group with individuals aged 15-25 that have lived experience in the juvenile justice system.
This is your chance to use your voice and experiences to create positive change for youth affected by the system. Enjoy benefits like $25/hr, transportation to meetings, and food provided at every gathering. This library recruitment tour is a great opportunity for community members to meet our group, apply on the spot, and learn more about how you can help shape the future of those impacted by the juvenile justice system.
Ways to Join Our Board:
1.) Attend one of our in-person "Voices of the Future: Youth Board in Your Library" events:
-North Regional Library: Location: 315 Lowry Ave N, Minneapolis, MN 55411. Date: 10/22/24 (Tuesday). Time: 5-7 PM.
-Brooklyn Park Library: Location: 8500 W Broadway, Brooklyn Park, MN 55445. Date: 10/24/24 (Thursday). Time: 5-7 PM.
-Brookdale Library: Location: 6125 Shingle Creek Pkwy, Brooklyn Center, MN 55430. Date: 10/29/24 (Tuesday). Time: 5-7 PM.
-Central Library: Location: 300 Nicollet Mall, Minneapolis, MN 55401. Date: 11/05/24 (Tuesday). Time: 5-7 PM.
-Webber Library: Location: 4440 N Humboldt Ave, Minneapolis, MN 55412. Date: 11/07/24 (Thursday). Time: 5-7 PM.
-Franklin Library: Location: 1314 E Franklin Ave, Minneapolis, MN 55404. Date: 11/12/24 (Tuesday). Time: 5-7 PM.
