Fires and Fascism shows wildfires in Europe result beyond climate change, but link also to big business, organised crime, and the rise of the far right. It showcases community-led initiatives such as rewilding, protest, citizens assemblies, and other forms of direct action. The film is crowdfunded, independent, and non-profit.The director of the film, Pete Knapp will be joining us for a Q&A after the film!
CAG Oxford are host for the evening and will be present for the Q&A session.
At CAG we aim to help build an Oxfordshire with resilient and empowered communities, so that people and planet can thrive within our ecological limits. Fires and Fascism is a brilliant example of communities not so far away, facing adversities and pulling together to be the force for positive change. By showing this film, we hope to create unity, understanding and collaboration with all communities confronting the consequences of fascism. For together we are stronger.
Makespace are the facilitators of the 'voices of Impact' film series.
We look forward to seeing you at this event.
