About this Event
Come along to our launch and practice event to celebrate Gypsy, Roma and Traveller history month!
Those who design and deliver services for Gypsy/Traveller communities rarely hear directly from the women and girls those services are meant to reach, Voices of Belonging sets out to help close that gap.
Join us to launch our new podcast series, in partnership with InHive Global, built around the voices, identities and aspirations of Gypsy/Traveller women and girls - and learn how you can respond to the challenges they set within your own workplace and practice.
Programme
Across the day attendees will spend time with the key messages from the series, and have structured space to turn those messages into changes in their own practice.
Our aim is to shift how services are delivered, with interactive workshops to encourage networking, innovation and tools to better engage and work with the voices of Gypsy/Travellers.
The day is designed especially for:
- Health and Social Care
- Policy and Service-Delivery
- Educators
- CLD
- Social Work
- Elected Members
- Youth Voice
- Policing
Alongside any practicioner whose work touches the lives of Gypsy/Travellers, no prior knowledge of the communities is needed to attend.
Schedule:
We know how hard it is for working practicioners to commit a whole day away from their desk, so the programme is built as a series of self-contained sessions running from 11am to 4pm. Come for the launch over lunch, drop in for a single workshop or stay the whole day - you'll leave with something useful whichever you choose!
