What’s up family?
So, here we are in Houston for our Poetry Open Mic Experience featuring Ebony Stewart at our new venue and we are now bringing out from Philly our video team out to record all performances of the night to share on our YouTube channel and social media platforms. This has been an element we've been missing and we are glad we are able to finally add it to our monthly experiences.
Our Poetry Open Mic Experiences in all our cities are pure heat and SELL OUT every month and we will do the same here in Houston. The room is filled with beautiful people, amazing talent, great food, dope music, and the energy was high. If you were in the building, you already know. And it’s time to do it but in Houston and we need your help.
So, let’s get to the details:
Monday, March 27th, at 7:00 PM the doors over at The Foundation Room will open and the party begins.
Please note: Anyone in attendance must be 21+.
We kick the night off with some music, networking, vibin, food and drinks, and open mic raffle sign ups. At around 7:30 PM, our host, Blacqwildflowr, will hop on the mic to kick the night off.
DJ Forte will be keeping the vibes high with music, plus vendors, visual artists, food, drinks and a featured poet for the night . And of course, most of the night gets dedicated to the poets who signed up. We will have some competitions throughout the night, to add some fun and engagement with the audience and many moments of laughs, love, and dancing. At 10:00 PM we will wrap the night up, and send you off… until next time.
That’s pretty much it, on paper, to say the least. But again, these aren’t just “open mic nights” so don’t get it twisted if this is your first time. We turn up and the vibe is everything.
With that said, tickets will sell out so grab them today and meet us there. The cameras will be out so get fly and let’s make memories together.
And remember, this is family. Come connect with some beautiful people and let it change your life.

For POETS interested in performing:
Our open mic list is based on a raffle system. Each poet interested in performing can sign a raffle ticket from when the doors open at 7:00 PM until 7:25 PM, right before we start our open mic list.
Poets will be called at random one at a time for the duration of the open mic.
Please note: each poet gets ONE poem within a 5 minute time slot.
