🔹 Noor Azizah – A Rohingya human rights practitioner and co-founder of the Rohingya Maiyafuinor Collaborative Network (RMCN). Noor will share her lived experience escaping Burma and her work advocating for Rohingya women and children, countering hate speech, and advancing justice and security for her people. She has spoken globally, from the UN in Geneva to the Canadian Parliament, fighting for Rohingya rights.
🎙️ Moderated by Brian Hioe – A journalist, activist, and founding editor of New Bloom, a publication covering social movements and progressive politics in Taiwan. Brian writes extensively on democracy, resistance movements, and Taiwan’s role in global struggles for justice.
🎥 We will also screen a short documentary on RMCN’s work in Malaysia and the rising hate speech and discrimination Rohingya face there.
